Selank (TP-7)
Selank is a synthetic analog of the immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin. It has been studied for anxiolytic and nootropic effects and is approved in Russia as a treatment for anxiety disorders.
Selank modulates the GABAergic system, influences serotonin metabolism, and has been shown to affect BDNF expression. It may also have immunomodulatory properties through its tuftsin-related structure.
Approved in Russia as a prescription anxiolytic nasal spray. Clinical studies show reductions in generalized anxiety comparable to benzodiazepines but without sedation or cognitive impairment. It also demonstrates immunomodulatory and nootropic effects in preclinical models.
